AA-2 Patriot
The first four-seat prototype — never certified. The blue one.
When American Aviation began making planes with the Yankee, they had three colors: Revolution Red, Pilgrim White, and Patriot Blue. Since the AA-2 was painted blue, it was called the Patriot. The AA-2 was the first attempt at a four-seat Grumman, powered by the O-360-A4K. It was never FAA-certified and no type certificate was issued for the airframe. The design evolved into the AA-5 Traveler.
