About The Grumman Technical Library

Free manuals, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and technical resources for every Grumman AA and AG series aircraft — maintained by a fellow Tiger owner.

This site exists because finding information for Grumman aircraft used to mean digging through forums, making phone calls, and hoping someone had scanned the right page of the right manual. If you've owned a Grumman for any length of time, you know the drill. The information is out there, but it's scattered across dozens of sources, and half the links are dead.

I built the Grumman Technical Library to put everything in one place — free, organized by model, and available to every owner and mechanic who needs it. No membership fees, no login walls on the core content. Just the manuals, ADs, service bulletins, service kits, service letters, and type certificate data sheets that keep our fleet safe and flying.

We maintain resources for the complete Grumman light aircraft family:

Part of the Grumman-Parts.com Family

The Grumman Technical Library is the reference arm of Grumman-Parts.com, the largest online marketplace dedicated exclusively to Grumman AA and AG series aircraft parts. When you find a part number in a manual here, you can search for it directly in our store — or submit a part request and we'll source it for you.

We also operate TrioAutopilots.com, where I serve as the exclusive authorized distributor for the Trio Pro Pilot autopilot system — FAA-certified for Grumman AA-5 series, Cessna, and Piper aircraft. If you're considering an autopilot, EFIS, or avionics upgrade for your Grumman, that's where to start.

Community Resources

The Grumman community is active and generous with knowledge. Here are the places where owners, mechanics, and enthusiasts connect:

The Grumman Gang — The long-running email list and technical resource hub. If you have a question about your Grumman, someone on the Gang has the answer. Also home to Bondline, an excellent wiki of technical articles and how-to guides.

American Yankee Association (AYA) — The type club for Grumman owners. Annual membership includes their magazine, insurance programs, a pilot proficiency program, and access to a network of Grumman-qualified instructors and mechanics across the country.

Facebook Groups — Several active groups including Grumman Tiger Owners, Grumman Gang, and model-specific communities where owners share photos, maintenance tips, and flying stories daily.
